Share of everything on streaming that took fewer than 1,000 streams in a year
Of 253 million tracks available at the end of 2025, 120.5 million took ten streams or fewer across the entire year.

Luminate counted 253 million tracks available on streaming services at the end of 2025, up from 202 million a year earlier. Of those, 120.5 million took ten streams or fewer in the whole of 2025, 62.6 million took between 11 and 100, and 40.7 million took between 101 and 1,000. That leaves 88 per cent of the catalogue under a thousand streams for the year.
At the other end, 29 tracks passed a billion streams, and the band between one million and fifty million streams accounted for 49.4 per cent of all listening.
The practical reading: the median outcome for a release is close to silence, and that is the baseline any promotion plan is measured against. It is also why a few hundred engaged listeners is a real result rather than a disappointing one.
